Career Services - Career Counseling and Self-Assessment

Career Counseling is provided to students and alumni through self-assessment electronic evaluations as well as career exploration and decision-making through individual appointments. Career Services staff will assist you in formulating and implementing career paths reflecting the quality of your educational background and personal Values.

There are several FREE online career assessment tools available. Check out the following links:

O*NET Interest Profiler
Based on the Holland Code, this 60 question assessment is used to rate your interest in certain tasks, resulting in a score for your level of interest in each category: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional.

Virtual Job Shadow
Must create a log in using your Lanier Tech student email address. Under the "Tools", Virtual Job Shadow gives you access to the Career Cluster Interest Survey and the O*Net Interest Profiler, as well as the opportunity to explore possible careers in the comfort of your own home.

Career Values Assessment
This free assessment is helpful in understanding your underlying work needs and motivations, so you can determine what is important to you in a job.

16 Personalities
This personality assessment is a blend of Myers-Briggs, Jungian Theory, and the Big Five personality test. Not only does it give you some career area suggestions, but also some fun personality facts.
