Gainesville, GA- Lanier Technical College’s Adult Education program is the leading
provider of literacy education, high school equivalency courses, citizenship acquisition
preparation, and adult education tutoring services within the Technical College System of
Georgia (TCSG). The adult education program is also known for leading the State of Georgia
in high school equivalency degrees by the many students passing through and graduating
each year.
On September 5, 2024, the program held its annual High School Equivalency (HSE)
Graduation at the Ramsey Conference Center. This ceremony allows graduates to walk in
front of family and friends to receive credentials from TCSG Commissioner, Greg Dozier
and Lanier Tech President, Tim McDonald. This day, 101 graduates marched on stage to
accept their HSE degrees in person.
Lanier Tech annually appoints an Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education

officially announced as Alla Kucherova of Forsyth County, Georgia. Kucherova will spend
the next year competing against other TCSG EAGLE students to become the State-Wide

leaders, college leadership, Keynote Speakers Greg Dozier, and Dr. Cayanna Good,

Lanier Tech President, Tim McDonald championed the graduates moments before turning
their tassels, “This graduation ceremony is always a special occasion to me. Earning your
High School Equivalency fosters many opportunities for growth and prosperity. I encourage
