Gainesville – Lanier Technical College was proud to host the 2022 Paramedic Games. Paramedics from Hall County Fire Rescue and two teams from the city of Gainesville went head-to-head against each other in three simulated medical scenarios. Volunteer judges from Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) Georgia were on standby to judge each competitor.
Each team consisting of two or three paramedics was given simulated medical scenarios, patients, and curveballs all designed to test their skills as medical professionals. Scenarios consisted of possible heart attack, infant delivery, and traumatic injury. Competitors were then judged on their performance throughout the scenario. The highest scoring team was then declared the winner.
Teams were as follows:
Hall County Fire Rescue: Brock Hayes, Brooks King, Edward Rivera
Gainesville City Fire Department: Jordan Green, Andrew Cathem
Gainesville City Fire Department Team 2: Josh Crawford, Justin Carpenter
