John Leverett is new Director of Motorsports Vehicle Technology

Racing professional, John Leverett, to serve as new Director of Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program

Lanier Technical College is pleased to announce the hiring of John Leverett as the new Director of the Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program at its new, state-of-the-art Hall Campus facilities. Mr. Leverett comes to Lanier Tech with over three decades of automotive and motorsports experience, the last 24 years as the Chief Engineer for Panoz Cars. His cars have won the 24 Hours of LeMans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and most recently, a Manufacturers Championship in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge Series.

John is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University at Kennesaw State University (formerly Southern Tech) where he was also the founder of the institution’s Formula SAE Program. Leverett is an avid collector, restorer, and racer whose skills, experience, and education will augment Lanier Tech’s unique and innovative Motorsports Vehicle Technology program.
