Job Description:

Under general supervision Lanier Technical College Director/Coordinator of Marketing and Public Relations, perform a variety of College photo/video assignments using DSLR digital cameras and camcorders to capture still photographs and short video scenes resulting in the production of effective quality photographs and videos. Assignments include photographing/filming students in action within all programs of study, Adult Education and Economic Development events. Images and videos will be used in the College’s online and print advertising, social media channels, TV commercials, exhibits, CCTV system, etc.

Under general supervision Lanier Technical College’s Director/Coordinator of Marketing and Public Relations, perform a variety of college graphic design assignments using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create printed materials including brochures, booklets, digital ads, and electronic signage.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid on file for the 24-25 aid year.
  • Must be registered for the current term, and must meet SAP (satisfactory academic progress) standards.
  • Applicants should be neat in appearance and possess the ability to work well with others.
  • Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and be able to work the required hours each week.
  • As with all LTC employees, a background investigation is required which may include, but is not limited to, a review and/or verification of criminal history records, motor/vehicle driver’s history records, employment history, references, etc.
  • Proper grammatical skills are a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of creative ability and technical skill through portfolio of photography and/or videography.
  • Knowledge of general techniques and technical processes required in still photography/videography
  • Competence with Nikon, Canon or Sony DSLR Cameras.
  • Competence with advanced level photography and videography on a smart phone or camcorder.
  • Must be able to work effectively in collaboration with clients to create motivating photographs and graphic designs.
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism and implement suggestions into new assignments.
  • Demonstrate motivated and flexible work ethic by being a “self-starter”.

Salary:

20 hours per week at $15.00 per hour.
